Public Hearing Notice
To all interested citizens of Newport, Kentucky
The Kentucky Department for Local Government is accepting application material under the Community Development Block Grant-CV (CDBG-CV) Program. The City of Newport intends to make application for CDBG-CV funding for elevator replacement at Grand Towers, 1359 North Grand Avenue, Newport, Kentucky.
The City of Newport will hold a public hearing prior to submission of the CDBG-CV application. This public hearing will be held at 10:00 am EDT, Friday, July 1, 2022 at Newport City Hall, 998 Monmouth Street, Newport, Kentucky.
The purpose of this hearing is to obtain views on housing and community development needs, review proposed activities, review the proposed application, and solicit public comments. Technical assistance is available to help groups representing low and moderate income persons in developing proposals.
The following information concerning the CDBG-CV program is now available for public inspection at the second floor customer service desk, Newport City Hall, 998 Monmouth Street, Newport, Kentucky.
Comments on Application
A copy of the proposed CDBG-CV application material is now available for citizen review and comment during regular business hours at the second floor customer service desk at Newport City Hall, 998 Monmouth Street, Newport, Kentucky. Comments on the proposed application may be submitted to the attention of Joy Rovno, Newport City Hall, 998 Monmouth Street, Newport, Kentucky.
