The Italianfest Committee is busying preparing for the 18th annual Italianfest!

Italianfest, named a Top 20 Event in June by the Southeast Tourism Society, is held along Newport’s Riverboat Row between the Taylor-Southgate and L&N Bridges. The festival has authentic Italian food and live Italian music performed by entertainers from around the nation, a Golf Outing - click HERE for details, a Family Photo Booth-which showcases the history of Italian families that settled in Newport generations ago, pizza eating contest, cooking contest, games, rides and fireworks. There will be harbor cruises Friday and Saturday 6-7-8pm. In 2006, there were more than 100,000 visitors. For more information, please call 859-292-3666

Italianfest Family Recognition:

If you know of an individual of Italian descent who are in their 80’s and lives in the city, call the City of Newport at 859-292-3687. Their names will also be added to an HONOR ROLL in our Italian Festival Program.

Also looking for any nominees for our Honored Italian-American Sons and Daughters Award. This award will go to an individual who has made a difference in the City of Newport and to the Italianfest . The award may also be awarded posthumously, so please give us a call with your nomination.
