The Newport Historic Preservation Office is available to answer questions regarding preservation of buildings and neighborhoods within the City of Newport. The Office has many sources available to the public regarding preservation and restoration.

The Newport Historic Preservation Office performs design review for exterior work performed within the East Row Historic District, and issues Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) Permits for exterior work which complies with the East Row Historic District Design Review Guidelines.
