City Parks & Recreational Areas

Newport has 12 parks dispersed throughout the City with a diverse range of facilities and activities including:

To reserve a park shelter call (859) 292-3686.  A $50.00 fee applies for non-residents of Newport. 

Veterans Memorial Pool

Veterans Memorial Pool  is located at 26 Caroline Drive in Newport and is owned and operated by the City of Newport's Park and Recreation Department.  The pool is open to the general public.

Pool Hours:    

  • Sunday through Thursday Noon - 6pm.  
  • Friday through Saturday Noon - 8pm. 

Admission Rates: 

  • Age 4 & Under = Free
  • 5-11  $3.00
  • 12-Adult $5.00 
  • Senior 65 & Up - Free

Passes:  

  • Single Pass $60.00
  • Family (up to 5) $175.00 ($25 for each additional family member)
  • Institutional - $350.00 (One adult and 10 children)

Pool passes are obtained at the Newport City Building located at 998 Monmouth St., Newport, KY. 

Private Pool Parties: 

The pool is available for private pool parties during the following hours: 

  • Sunday through Thursday  7pm - 9pm.
  • Friday through Saturday 8pm - 10 pm.

Rates for pool parties are: 

  • 75 people or less - $275.00 with a $200.00 refundable deposit.
